"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." - Anatole France
Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Geriatric Medicine, and Dermatology.
Spending time with my family, hiking, reading, traveling, taking French courses, and doing home improvement projects.
I decided to become a veterinarian as an adult. Growing up, my family was medically oriented. Both of my parents were involved in human healthcare and my sister became a physician so it was only fitting that I major in Biology as an undergrad. After internships working with animals at the International Crane Foundation in Baraboo, Wisconsin and at the Smithsonian’s Conservation and Research Center in Front Royal Virginia, I decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
Despite a short 3 year stint from 2007-2010 as a veterinarian in California, I have been with Pender Veterinary Centre for 12 years. I love getting to know clients and following their pets through all of their life stages. I enjoy the challenge of caring for animals by solving medical and surgical puzzles, whether simple or complex. It is a privilege to be part of such a great profession.
